Where can I find Hidden beaches in Phuket?
There are still beautiful hidden, secret, and quiet beaches in Phuket. Of course, some are tough to locate, but a surprising number are visible and easily accessible. People are just not making an effort to locate them. Despite constant visitor complaints, more than ten beaches vary from ‘quiet’ to ‘completely desolate.’ Most don’t have beach chairs or vendors, although there are a few small eateries and little pubs nearby. They are the same as Phuket Island was 20 years ago. So make the effort to get there!
We do not include the few ‘private beaches’ exclusively accessible by guests of certain hotels who occupy the whole length of their beach, making access to outsiders impossible: Karon Noi Beach (Le Meridien Beach Resort), Naithon Noi Beach (Andaman White Beach), and Pansea Beach (Amanpuri Resort).

17 Best Secret, Quiet and Hidden Beaches in Phuket
1. Laem Singh Beach

There are two reasons why Laem Singh has become difficult to find. If you arrived two years ago, it was crowded and vibrant. There was a disagreement with the landowner in April 2017, who declared that no one should cross his property anymore. It was unreachable for a year.
Someone suddenly recalled that if you can’t enter through the region, no legislation says you can’t arrive by the sea! And don’t forget about the business opportunity! You may now ride a small boat from Surin beach to Laem Singh beach for just 100 baht per person. Enjoy it while it’s calm; it might fast become a popular business.
Quite Level: great
Access: Easy but only via boat or a secret trail.
Sand Condition: Great
Swimming Condition: Great
Beach Facilities: there is just one beautiful restaurant on the cliff.
2. Sai Kaew Beach

Sai Kaew beach is a long desolate sand strip situated in the far north of Phuket island, one of the final beaches before the Sarasin bridge. It’s a good area for lunch in the north, with a few bamboo eateries right on the beach. It’s worth noting that the meal costs a little more than typical.
Peaceful Level: Excellent!
Access: Simple, but far from complete.
Swimming Conditions: Very Good
Beach Facilities: Two fantastic local eateries with bamboo and thatched roofs, amazing local food, and cool beverages
3. Freedom Beach

Freedom Beach is the most stunning beach on the island, and despite being near Patong, it has stayed relatively peaceful since the only (simple) method to get there is via longtail boat, which costs more than 1,000 baht. Go while you can: once the land access becomes public, you might say goodbye to your independence!
Peaceful Level: great! Access: During the hot season, access is only by boat.
Sand Condition: Amazing
Swimming Condition: Great
Beach Facilities include a few eateries and beach loungers shaded by trees.
4. Banana Beach

Banana Beach is so remote and difficult to find that it has stayed largely quiet despite its allure. Of course, since it is human nature to seek the hidden, it becomes busier, but it is still a terrific area to spend the day. During the off-season, the beach is entirely yours!
Peaceful Level: good!
Access: Difficult to discover, with a high incline.
Swimming Condition: Excellent
Beach Facilities: A small restaurant, beach loungers, and rudimentary toilets
5. Ao Yon Beach

Ao Yon is one of those beaches that, no matter how much people speak about it, has remained relatively unknown. Perhaps because it is located far from the tourist region, or perhaps because the sand and sea are not as appealing as beaches on the west coast. The center area is quite beautiful, with many towering palm trees, and there are now several fine hotels, little restaurants, and even a beach club.
Peaceful Level: Good
Access is difficult to come by.
Sand Condition: Medium
Beach Condition: Moderate to Good
Beach Facilities: There are a few restaurants on-site.
6. Ao Sane Beach

Ao Sane is a quiet beach near the famed Nai Harn that has stayed unnoticed since most people don’t see it because you have to drive past The Nai Harn Resort to get there! The beach is modest but lovely, with a wonderful shaded café, suitable for snorkeling, and ideal for families with children.
Peace Level: Good
Access is difficult to come by.
Sand Condition: Good
The swimming conditions are good.
Beach facilities include a restaurant, beach loungers, diving, and bungalows.
7. Layan Beach

Layan Beach has long been a secret retreat, but with the introduction of a Beach Club, things have begun to change. However, it is still far enough away from other congested beaches to be a pleasant day trip.
Peace Level: Good
Access: Easy
Sand Condition: Very good
Swimming Condition: Good
Beach facilities include a variety of modest eateries.
8. Merlin Beach

Merlin Beach is often confused with Tri Trang Beach, however, this is the beach in front of the Phuket Marriott resort Merlin Beach, south of Patong. It’s not overly crowded since not many people are aware of the entrance.
Peace Level: good
Access: Not immediately obvious
Sand Condition: good
Swimming Conditions: Not that nice with coral.
Beach Facilities: Restaurants and beach massages are available at the beach.
9. Mee Sook Beach

Peace Level: good but sometimes plays music
Access: entry fee required 100 baht
Sand Condition: rough
Swimming Condition: Not great for swimming but good for bathing and snorkeling.
Beach Facilities: Small restaurants above the water
10. Haad Pak Phra Beach

Haad Pak Phra is Phuket’s last beach, situated near the Sarasin bridge. It’s not a spectacular beach, but it gives you the stupid joy of discovering something new. Stop there on your route to Thanoon Seafood on the mainland or Phang Nga Bay.
Peace Level: great!
Access: Hard to find
Sand Condition Not great,
Swimming Condition: Not great
Beach Facilities: None
11. Laem Ka Beach

Please keep in mind that Laem Ka Beach is now closed to the public.
Laem Ka Beach is Phuket’s sole true beach on the island’s east coast. It may be calm, but at certain times of the day, you may be visited by speedboats disembarking. The beach is lovely, and food and drink are available during the peak season, but the location is empty during the low season.
Peace Level: good in low season
Access: Hard to find
Sand Condition: Good
Swimming Condition: Acceptable
Beach Facilities: Food and drink shacks, beach shopping.
12. Panwa Beach

Panwa Beach on the west coast is a lovely stretch of sand with picture-perfect coconut palms drooping lazily over the water. Great for getting away from the crowds, but unsuitable for swimming since the water barely covers a stony bottom.
Peace Level: Excellent!
Access: Out of the way
Sand Condition: Good
Swimming Condition: Poor
Beach facilities include a few local shacks.
13. Hua Beach

Hua Beach is an extremely remote beach that is difficult to locate. It’s not a swimming beach, but it’s a great place to hide since there aren’t many people there. Swimming is impossible because of the rocks and corals just under the surface.
Peace Level: Excellent!
Access is quite difficult to come by.
Sand Condition: Average
Swimming Condition: Poor
Beach Facilities: Just a local shack
14. Rayee Beach

Rayee Beach is commonly referred to as “the second Kamala beach” since it is located just south of the popular main Kamala beach. It’s not a swimming beach since the bottom is covered with coral, but it’s a lovely place to unwind with a beautiful tiny local café over the water.
Peace Level: great
Access: Easy
Sand Condition: Acceptable, a bit rough
Swimming Condition: No swimming
Beach Facilities: There are a few small eateries above the ocean.
15 & 16: The Two Secret Beaches

Because these two hidden beaches may be the last ones on the island, we won’t expose them here! They’re difficult to discover and difficult to reach, so let’s make a bargain. Follow us on Instagram at instagram.com/willythuan and shoot us a message; we’ll tell you where it is.
Peace Level: perfect
Access: Not easy to find and hard to reach
Sand Condition: soft white sand
Swimming Condition: great during the high season
Beach Facilities: none
17. The Ultimate Hidden and Secret Beach

This most recent beach warrants particular note. It’s a lovely one, but getting there demands hard work. The joy of discovering it, on the other hand, is unquestionably proportionate to the work required to find it. So far, we haven’t even given it a name. As for the two beaches mentioned above, we won’t share them with everyone since only a few people know where they are: follow us and we’ll tell you where they are. (Don’t worry, people are often lazy, so you’ll be alone until you get there!)
